House Captains And Vice Captains

At Ivy Chimneys, Year 6 House and Vice Captains play an important leadership role.

Each year, many of our Year 6 students run for election, making a short presentation to their house. Two children from each house are elected to become the House and Vice Captain.

Among other duties, one of the main responsibilities of these house leaders, is to lead the Chatter Community mixed-age house meetings each term. The House and Vice Captains collect pupil views and contribute to agendas for each meeting. They lead the meetings of children from EYFS to Year 6, take minutes and report back as a group to staff and the wider school community.
