The Parent Forum

We have an active Parent Forum group who meet termly with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher. The group consists of parents who represent the eleven classes across the school. Ideally we would have one parent representative per class.

This is a voluntary role and the whole school community is invited to join.

The objective for the Parent Forum members is to act as a communication conduit between the school and parents. Through this we can raise and discuss issues that have arisen on behalf of the parent body and/or school with the intention of finding a positive outcome which ultimately ensures our children are kept safe and happy in school.

The current members who volunteered for the academic year 2021/2022 are:

Laura Clarke (Ash)
Ana Bolena Chamie (Ash)
Takako Elliot (Elm)
Kaye Vass (Chestnut, Rowan)
Kerry Fleming (Chestnut)
Rubina Laila (Elm)
Karen Laing (Rowan, Maple)
Gill Entwistle
Susi Pitura (Plane)
Siobhan Garrett (Chestnut, Hornbeam)
Maria Surman (Beech)

BENEFITS TO THE SCHOOL

One of the most significant benefits is that this creates a two-way communication channel between parents and the school. As the school moves towards Outstanding, the feedback and support from parents is much needed and greatly appreciated. We are also interested in hearing your views on how the school can be even better and therefore enable our children to achieve more.

WHAT IS DISCUSSED?

Much of what is discussed is driven by our School Improvement Plan. At our initial meeting we identified key areas for discussion and prioritised these for our future meetings.
