PERSONAL, SOCIAL, HEALTH & ECONOMIC (PSHE) EDUCATION

At Ivy Chimneys Primary School, we believe that personal, social and health education (PSHE) enables our children to become responsible, healthy, safe and independent members of society. It aims to help them understand how they are developing socially and personally, and tackles many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. We provide our pupils with opportunities to learn about rights and responsibilities and help them to appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society. PSHE is at the heart of our school’s ethos.

PSHE is taught as explicit lessons, using the Cambridgeshire PSHE Planning Scheme, but it is also embedded in other areas of the curriculum and day-to-day school life.
