INFORMATION ABOUT SWIMMING AT IVY CHIMNEYS

Here is the % of Year 6 children who met the national curriculum requirements relating to swimming and water safety in 2024:

Swimming at least 25m

75% of pupils can swim confidently, competently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25m.

Use a range of different strokes effectively

75% of pupils can effectively use front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke.

Perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations

75% of pupils can demonstrate safe self-rescue.
