Ivy Chimneys Music Makers Club

Our ‘resident’ music teacher, Jan, is has started an after school music club for years 1 and 2. The club runs on Mondays from 3.20pm-4pm and Jan will be teaching recorders for the first half term followed by ukulele in the following half term. 

Sessions will focus on having fun with music whilst learning the basics of each instrument as well as incorporating lots of games encouraging rhythm and basic music theory. 

After the first whole term, the music club will either continue with just one instrument or carry on with both ukulele and recorder in the same pattern ( depending on how the group get along once they start learning to play each instrument).

The fee per session will be £8 payable half termly in advance. Ukuleles are provided for use in the school club sessions and if your child has already been allocated a school recorder they should use that. Otherwise, you would need to provide a recorder for your child whilst those sessions are taking place (these are priced around £10 on Amazon).
